Living My Dream (How I got started in interior Design)

Very often, while in the middle of a design job, in the middle of a conversation or connection with a new client, product shopping, or even brainstorming design solutions for a tricky space, I pause and get lost in my thoughts. I’m think about how incredibly happy I am to be in this moment and this space, with these people. I’m doing what I feel I was created to do. But how did I get here?

It doesn’t hurt that I’m a perfectionist by nature… I love to create… and I love to design. So when friend/owner, Nicole Yarbrough, asked me to design Pink Arrows Boutique, located in Downtown Benicia, California, I was a little overwhelmed at first. But with a little convincing, I excitedly agreed. I took the next first step of my journey. Once the job was complete, I was more in love with design than ever.

Since then, I’ve designed a new larger space for Pink Arrows Boutique, done a complete office building remodel for Cross Country Mortgage in Benicia, some large and small home remodels, and some small office designs as well. I’m very excited about my latest and most recent cabin remodel for a returning client. And I’m always updating and re-arranging my own spaces, too.
